Oh Geeze, the commenter went a little above and beyond

I enjoyed reading that. I couldn't breast feed my son. my supply never came in and he was starving for the first 3 days of life and I didn't know it until we left the hospital. He actually got server jaundice bc of the lack of milk he was getting.

And a note to the first commenter on the link, I'm closer than ever to my son who is bottle fed. Just bc his mouth isn't sucking on my nipple doesn't mean I don't hold him when I feed him. And snuggle up to him while he is eating. If he doesn't want to be held when fed he sits in his bouncy seat and holds my fingers on the hand holding the bottle and my hand that is free.
Her lack of closeness to her mother had nothing to do with how she was fed as a baby!

Right? I was BF and my mom and I dont have a great relationship. I mean we tolerate and love each other but we cant stand each other.

This is great thanks for sharing I know I personally struggled when I wanted to quit breast feeding I had a serious break down and cried and cried cause those breast feeding mommas and LC's are seriously hard core and don't want you to quit no matter how miserable/uncomfortable you are. I always thought to myself I don't understand this breat is best slogan....better than what?? And how?? My son is growing perfect on formula and honestly both of us are much happier. I feel a stronger connection with him holding my hand while eating then the breast feeding. But to each their own I don't care what other people do I just wish breast feeding wasn't shoved on people to the point where you feel guilty for quitting or not trying it...that's all

I hear ya... I just mentally and physically couldn't do it. I always have to chuckle to myself when people say "But how could you give up that bond" HA what bond... I was stressed out, cried all the time, and was in so much pain. Once I switched to formula I could relax and take all of my tiny baby girl in. I commend women who choose to breastfeed BUT I do feel there should be a ton more support for women who choose not to

I totally agree with you. The first time I bottle fed and my son reached up and held my hand I almost melted that was seriously the first time I felt a bond I never did breast feeding but wanted to we are MUCH happier now!
