Nursing Bras

posted 19th Feb
I am trying to find nursing bras in my size online and the best I can find that will fit (I've got big boobs) are the sports type bras. I am looking for more of the regular looking bra with the snap at the top. Any ideas where to look? Also, what I have found as been in C, D, E, F and I need DD. Do they not come in DD?? I found one that looked comfy that wasn't really what I was looking for, it slipped on, rather than hooked and it said it was a sleeping bra but it looked REALLY comfy. Any recommendations on what's comfortable and where to look would be great! TIA!

I would wait until your milk comes in and your supply regulates because I bought a nursing bra right BEFORE I had my daughter and it never fit again.

I have the Anita brand nursing bra and I love it. I have a small band size and large cup and they have specialty sizes.

This.

I would also wait to order a load of bras. Your breasts will change after having LO and will probably be much bigger when the milk comes in.

Thanks for the advice! I am finally trying to *really* nurse with #4 and I am completely new to it. I figured my bra size, or a cup size bigger, is what I would order.

Definitely dont go blowing your money on too many... I was a DD pre pregnancy. F(DDD) during pregnancy(but still had room in the cup for them to grow). And then once my milk came in I was spilling out of the Fs

I was clueless to that one as well. I went to motherhood maternity to buy bras and was shocked they had no DD's. The sales lady overheard me and filled me in on that one. It's kind of silly that they change it for nursing bras.

As for how much you will grow, you just never know. I have friends that only went up a size, I went from a C to a DD. I would get a sleeping bra for while your milk is coming in, then go shopping once your supply has regulated.

Best of luck with nursing! The first few weeks can be rough, but it is a very rewarding experience in the long run

This is what I have. I'm a 42DD but got a 44DD just in case and they fit perfectly. They're 2 for $20 so it helps. Yes, they're VERY comfy! http://www.walmart.com/ip/Bestform-Maternity-Sport-Nursing-Bras-2-Pack/13055806

Thanks! I was going to hit up Motherhood Maternity this weekend until my sister informed me that the one near us went out of business and the next closest was well over an hour away so I decided to look online.

I am DETERMINED to make this nursing work if it is the death of me. I wish I would have had the will power to do it with my others but now I am preparing well in advance.

I think I will get one of the sleeping bras and wait until after DD is born to buy more so I don't waste money, like you suggested.

Wal-Mart.com has some nice nursing bras and you can get them in any color and style. That is the way I am going to go after my milk supply has come in. They start out at 8 dollars for a single and up and 12 dollars and up for a 2 pack of them.
