When did you stop

Skin to skin contact?? DD and I still do skin to skin regularly. She's BF but even when not nursing, we lay together skin to skin, and co-sleep the same way. My mom thinks its weird? I know when they're newborn it's good for them, but does it lose its importance/benefits just because they're older?
She's 10 months.

DD is a year old now. We still shower together and a lot of times she's tired afterward and we nap together naked. She loves cuddling up to Mommy skin to skin.

I guess I still kinda do it with DD. she won't keep her jams on and when I sleep, I sleep topless. When she comes into bed and cuddles with me, I don't get up to put a shirt on, I just go back to sleep.

My son will be two next month and still cuddles on my chest..ill he wearing a tank top so my upper chest lol. He's been weaned for about 4 months now.

I don't see anything wrong with it.

I think if you are doing it with a 10-year-old... it gets a bit weird... but a 10-MONTH-old... no... I co-shower with my 10-month-old and he loves to just cuddle skin-to-skin. It's soothing for a baby. Don't listen to anyone who tells you it's weird.

  I forgot about showers. When we shower she wants me to hold her and she lays on my shoulder as the water runs down her back.

I dunno I guess I never stopped? My LO is 4 and cuddles all the time in bed or the shower/bsth

Thanks ladies. Just wanted to make sure I wasn't the only one who thinks this is fine! My mom and I have totally different parenting styles. I'm super AP and she was/is ..... Not mother material. I'm usually pretty good at ignoring her but some stuff gets under my skin.

My 4 year old still loves skin to skin. Sure, it's evolved over time. But even sitting next to her rubbing her bare back makes her smile. I think we always crave that contact with people.

I don't just cause its cold out. I wonder though, if I threw a blanket over us and selpt skin to skin at night, if she would sleep better.
