Group B strep test............

so i got my result back from my groub p strep test and it came back positive.......they say its very normal for pregnant women to get this and it has me a lil worry because i look it up online..lol prob. a bad mistake...lol but has anyone else failed the test? and everythin was okay ?

Yes, I was positive. You just get antibiotics during child birth and that is it. I have a healthy 5 year old. Google can be evil lol

they will just have to give you some antibiotics before and after delivery no biggie

Yep. They found it in my urine at like 28 weeks and gave me oral antibiotics at that time. Then when I was in labor they gave me two rounds of Penicillin and everything was fine. He is now almost 14 months old and is already a holy terror lol.

You'll be fine. Just extra antibiotics.

I had it with my 2nd. You're supposed to get antibiotics for it while you're in labor, however I didn't have enough time. We had to stay for an extra day for him to be monitored -- he was and is perfectly healthy. Stay away from Google! Haha.

Yes you will be fine they will give you a shot before you have the baby

I got GBS with both pregnancies. I got antibiotics the moment I went to the hospital. I have a healthy two year old and about to have a healthy baby girl. Google is so evil. If you have questions about your situation always ask your OB before you do your own research... they know more. Lol.
