I do agree though at 16 shes able to choose either way.

If they only conspired to do it, then they didn't actually do it. Another article on her I read said they pulled her out of school and forced her to work 2 jobs in order to make her miserable and want to abort.

i hope she doesn't end up regretting her decision when things get tough. Because at her age and not having her parents' support will make things harder at some point

It's funny how the same people cheering about "saving another life" are many of the same people that will bitch and moan when she's on welfare for the rest of her life.

Good for her. Not many 16 year olds would stand up for themselves and their unborn child like this. And I have to commend the lawyer for taking her case... I would imagine she wasn't able to pay him/her much...

I agree & I really don't blame the parents at all. I hope she still has her 2 jobs b/c that is what life will be like for a long time without any support from anyone.

Pretty much. I mean, all I know about the case is what's in the article--so, who knows, maybe her parents are just awful, scummy people, but...I do know that it's not um, unheard of for 16 year old girls to make things up, be overdramatic, etc. I know for me personally, if my 16 year old sued me for suggesting she get an abortion, and considered it "abuse" when I made her work to support the baby she decided to add to our household, I'd be more than happy to emancipate her.
