How/What to prepare for baby

posted 19th Feb
So were not finding out the gender of this baby beforehand. Im having a hard time figuring out WHAT I can start purchasing now ahead of time that is gender neutral? Well besides the obvious, diapers. lol I have a crib, swing, bouncer, car seat, bath tub, and a few bottles. But I plan to EBF...
So we have already started purchasing diapers every week, I will be buying the stroller with in the next few weeks. But is there anything else I can do? We have nb clothing for a boy and girl, since we have one of each. This baby will be in the same season as both previous.

Anything you can think of that I should stock up on? We are planning on having a 'welcome to the world' party AFTER the baby is born, but I dont expect anyone to get us anything and I dont plan on registering anywhere. I just want the baby to meet his/her family.

TIA!

We do, we have a smaller one that my son never used. I was so paranoid after my son that I kept ALL his stuff. We ended up buying alot for him and spent way to much. So we saved it all. I feel like there has to be something Im forgetting, I cant have all the baby is going to need...

Onsies can be easily purchased in neutral colors, and if they are white you could even dye them to gender specific colors later. I've always found greens, oranges, browns and reds to be non gender specific as well. I personally have an unreasonable dislike for the color yellow, so I didn't include it, lol. Unadorned jeans are great too. If you're going to ebf than you shouldn't have to worry much about bottles in the beginning, unless you're going to be working or have to leave baby with a caretaker for some reason or another. I use cloth diapers, so it is challenging to not want to go for the gender specific stuff as they can be so darned cute. Socks are pretty easy to get neutral as well. If you stick with mainly unadorned clothing you should be fine no matter what gender you get. Have fun with it.   I couldn't keep myself in suspense though and I will be hoping to find out my baby's gender, I've already got 2 boys so I am leaning for a girl, but if I don't get one, oh well...it would be nice though, lol.
