My Fitness Pal question

So I've been doing Tabata at home and similar interval training since I cant get to the gym this week with my son being off school.

How can I input this on the app? I know its cardio but when I search for tabata it doesnt show up, neither does interval training. Would it be aerobics or has anyone done this and added it themselves so they know the correct calories burned to amount of time done?

Hopefully this makes sense because I have no idea how to word it. Thanks!

You may have to enter them in separately. Total up how many minutes of running you did and how many minutes of walking, etc.

I found high intensity aerobics which is basically what tabata is from what I'm reading. I entered it but now under my net its -210 in the red. I have no idea what that is. But I burned 890 calories this morning just doing that for 45 minutes

It means you've burned more calories than what you've eaten today.

If you look at your data straight across, you have "Goal" "Food" "Exercise" and "Net"

Goal is how many calories you want to eat per day. Entering in your food consumption takes away from your daily allotted amount of calories left to eat. When you exercise, it adds calories to what you can eat. Net is how many calories you have consumed after subtracting how many you've burned with exercise.



I started with 1240 calories to eat. I've eaten 1112. That would leave me 128 calories for dinner, but I burned 592 at the gym, so I've "eaten" 520 adjusted calories today and I have 720 left for tonight.

You either need to enter food you forgot on your MFP or you need to eat more.

I need to eat more. This has been an ongoing problem. I rarely get hungry.
