How much weight loss is too much?

I am 18 weeks and I am down 35 lbs. . Now, I started out pretty overweight, but I though't I'd still gain. I have hyperemesis, but thankfully it's under control now. The problem is since coming off my Zofran pump I am still loosing weight. I started out at 287 (my highest ever   ) and am currently 253. I'm just worried about baby, is that too much?

Honestly, only your OB can help you on this one. We really don't know with out all of your medical details. Has your OB talked about this subject? Don't be afraid to ask all of your questions at your appointments.

I lost 65 pounds while pregnant. I had HG too. My after pregnancy body was the best body I ever had.

Unless your dr is worried about your baby then it's fine. Enjoy the weightloss haha!!

Alright! I will! Dr hasn't said anything, so I guess I'm good! ...In fact.. I just put on my pre-pregnancy "skinny" jeans (the smallest pair.. not skinny jeans) and guess what... they FIT... as in... around my belly and button.   Nice feeling though lol

Ask your OB I would enjoy the weight loss as long as your getting some kind of nutrients then I'm sure its fine. But really only your OB could say.

It's fine I'm sure. My friend had to be out on a diet by her dr and lost 85lbs. Your body actually stores fat while you're not pregnant for this purpose. The baby can live off a moms fat for the full 9 months if needed (if the mother is at least if not more than the correct weight for her height.)

As long as you're eating and drinking a good amount of water you're fine. You could also be losing the weight because the baby is feeding off of you.
