Planning a wedding?!?!

I have no idea what to do... LOL
We found dress/suit. But every venue I call it goes to voice mail and I don't want them to call me back because I won't remember which place it is. (I call while on the website). My mom said she would cater, so food is taken care of. This is a small wedding and I'm still stressing out. This is kind of pointless venting but I would also appreciate some advice! Maybe some Phoenix wifey mamas could recommend some places they looked? This is really my only obstacle. Did you stress over the venue?

I emailed the venues so I could keep track better and have prices written in front of me. We found our perfect venue pretty quick thankfully.

Write down the phone number, the name of the venue, a small description and the website you found it on. Then you can leave messages and remember which one is which.

Ya I will do that, with my luck they would probably call while I was out and didn't have the notes with me lol but oh well. If that's the only way to get ahold of someone!

Build spreadsheets for everyone you contact, email instead of call, start thinking outside the box.

Have you tried contacting museums and historic sites?

IF we cannot find anything we have a back up (My moms) which I'm fine with. It would still be what I wanted, outdoors and small. I can try those! I wouldn't mind a museum, that's different.

They often have green spaces, gardens or small historic chapels.

(I work at a museum lol).

My wedding isn't till November 1st 2014 but for both locations (ceremony is outside at the gazebo in the middle of the lake) it was 2,000. It includes bridal suite, weather back up for the ceremony, and a bartender. Also i get them for the whole day.

Thats not bad. I will probably go with a smaller package, like 2 or 3 hours, and I don't need a DJ and all the extra stuff. Just tables and chairs. How did the payment work? All at once upfront? Will they let you do payments until the wedding day?

Depends on the venue. You'll have to put a deposit down. I had to pay for the whole rental up front to save it. Some only require a percentage.
