When to use a digital

So I took a frer this morning there was a faint line but I couldn't tell if it had color. DH said yes. I am not so sure. Am thinking it was an antibody strip. My question is how long would you wait to try with a digital? I am feeling a little freaked out. I am 12 DPO and really thought that I was not pregnant this month since I have zero symptoms (aside from being really cold-strange I know). We had an early miscarriage/chemical pregnancy last month and really don't want that emotional rollercoaster again.

Personally, I would wait until after I missed my period, since digital tests aren't cheap!

I never got a positive with digital until at least 15 dpo even after getting several positives on other tests as early as 11 dpo. I'd wait a few days.

I tried to get pic but I couldn't get a decent one. Which totally sucks and I take as not a good sign. I didn't want to say"I know you can't see it but I swear it's there) LOL. I didn't start AF this morning and my luteal phase is usually 11-13 days. So my missed period could be anytime in the next three days if that makes sense.
