So sleepy

Come 7 am ill be up for twenty four hours   im so tired
i could not sleep at all yesterday and waas supposed to go in to work at 7 last night. I got a call from work about five telling me they were putting me on call. i was so excited thought I would have the night off cause im physically exhausted from working thurs friday and sat. Anways i got a call at 830 sayin they needed me to come in and SIT with a pt. So since about 9 ive been sitting in this room in the dark while the pt sleeps. ahh its so hard for me to stay awake!!

Ugh, I feel ya. I've slept 8 hours since Saturday. I'm at work right now. I'm supposed to be off at 7, but I have skills lab, so I won't be leaving here until like 11 or 12. I probably won't be going to sleep until tonight.

What is pt?

Oh no! Don't u hate that? I am not a big fan of nights i've only worked em for about four months but its getting pysically exhausting/ My supervisor just told me there is a day position opening up so i think im gonna take it. I'll lose money but i'll feel normal again

I wish I could switch to days. Nights is kicking my ass!

I guess between all this I should be happy that I have the option to lay down. its 3am. my daughters will be up 6am. I am at home on limited bedrest, and for the last few nights I have not be able to sleep more then 3 hours a night..doesn't matter what I do. I'd take your place for you, or give you my energy if I could, I have no problem staying awake..

I know the feeling!! im so upset that they called me in at 8;30,. That will probably count as my day on call too   it never happens and me and my bf were having the perfect night we went out to dinner and were just gonna chill out the rest of the night; We were both more than happy that I was on call bcuz he had been working all day and it seems we never get to see each other and now whn we do i'm usually bitchy cuz im so tired lol

Here lately I've been having the worst time staying awake the lack of sleep is probably catching up!! Hope ur able to get some rest

I don't think the ob will be happy with me in a few hours because my blood pressure will be up, but im seriously out of options. It sounds like your getting ready to crash. I hate that feeling. its like you get to a certain point and then you just have to sleep.

No,dont be sorry. I guess I am just sleepy the things that popped in my head when I read pt was potty training or parentank. Now I feel dumb lol.

It was worse when i first got here honestly. I had just went and had a pizza buffet lol so i was nice and full. im pretty sure i dozed off a cpl of times and then a coworker gave me half a monster energy drink which seemed to help but its wearing off now   i dnt see how they can expect someone to stay awake in a dark quiet room all night lol i know its part of my job but its gotta be hard for anyone to for 12 hrs
