Half way house

There is a petition going around in my parents neighboor hood ( my old one, still feels like home tho) to stop the opening of a half-way house for pregnant women to live until there babies are born and given up for adoption. This is a very quiet family neighborhood with not too much traffic. The builder of the house can't get it to sell so he wants to turn it in to the halfway house right in the middle of the development. According to my dad he doesn't think they will be able to go through with it because of zoning laws or something like that. I hate to be against it because it is a good thing but it just doesnt seem right to be in the middle of a neighborhood, the builder apparently had built one in a cpl towns away and there were complaints of a lot of noise and fighting from the boyfriends plus a bunch of traffic.
so my question is what do yal think about a halfway house being built in the neighborhood?

idk but im sure there neighbors are not gonna want a whole bunch of commotion all the time. Apparently there were a lot of complaints at the other house yelling at all times of the nights and boyfriends coming over starting fights being loud. but with the zoning laws of the city i highly doubt they will pass it

Ummm i used to sell drugs, in a neighborhood that costed 300,000 a house, at least, lol if my neighbors petitioned me i would understand... I had way crazier smurf going on than babys daddies yelling on the lawn

not sure if it's different in other states but where i live we have half way houses in quiet neighborhoods. not sure where you would put a half house if it wasnt in a neighborhood.
