But personally I don't think zoning has anything to do with it...you neighborhood sound like a lot of snooty nosed people live there and don't want their neighborhood tainted by the half way house. Which in my eyes is very wrong.

and idk the people like i used to i'm only close to a few neighbors but the development has grown up a bunch since i moved out and i don't really know the new people. The ones that used to live there are as sweet as can be some still live there/ some moved on/ i dont think they would mind or maybe they just dont understand the good in it.

The only kind I've been around are these kind(I've known ppl that have been in one but never there myself.)

If you're asking for people's opinions don't tell them it has to he nice ones. That's not an opinion. If your neighbors have a problem with keeping pregnant women off the streets then they can go live on the streets and see how it feels.

Eating, sleeping, and watching tv.

The thing is the owner could have sold the house to a couple/family who fought and had the cops over all the time so the "neighborhood " could be dealing with the same issue . Most half way houses have strict rules and policies. What is the difference between the traffic of a halfway house and the traffic for a family with say 3 teenagers? Not much . I think one of the real issues is the " neighborhood" doesn't want " those kind of people " to rub off on their kids. Some of the women in there will be young, unmarried, some will be recovering from addiction, some hiding from abusive partners and some will have been in trouble with the law. Halfway houses try to educate, rehabilitate, and help the people get on their feet . Not every half house is the same so you can't lump the acts of onto the other.
