I did read the whole thread before I posted but maybe you didn't. She was complaining about the pictures and tech's ability to do them.Then was jumped on by people. I stand by what I said and really don't care you think . Public ridicule ? Really ?? LMBO This is BG . It's just a post and won't effect anything so ridicule away. It will only prove more that I was on the mark. Now why don't you find another person to bully, insult or harass.

I think OP probably knew up front it was too early to say for sure, went ahead and did the sono anyway, then got mad because the tech couldn't give her a definite answer. A boy was her best guess.

That's why my youngest is snuggled up right next to me right now and I came home from the hospital(yeah it was a long night) to a picture my oldest drew my and its mommy with a super hero cape. Lol

I clearly remember my first post being very helpful saying my only advise was maybe post a picture and get opinions.

Because no matter how "qualified" a tech is 99% of the time at 14 weeks its am opinion and not a 100% guess.

Then when everyone was giving their honest opinion OP kept getting all pissed about it and being grumpy. Not once did she say oh thanks I appreciate it.

The picture you posted is not very good. I have 3 boys and am pretty good at identifying "boy parts" on ultrasounds, but that is is just not a clear picture. Part of it is probably because you are so early, but it could also be the equipment used. Does the place you went to do a free re-check if they can't tell you for sure? The ones around here do. I don't know how much you were charged, but the places here charge $70-$90 for a quick gender check. I would be very disappointed if I paid that much and got a crappy picture and a guess.

Ohhh this made me giggle. I LOVE how looking young and wearing jeans automatically makes the tech unqualified.

Newsflash, OP - I'm 25 years old and FREQUENTLY get mistaken for a high schooler. I look young - it's a combination of good genetics and taking care of myself. Occasionally I come across a dumb bitch who thinks I must be an idiot because I appear young, ESPECIALLY when I have three kids in tow, but for the most part, people are able to assume that I must just look young - it's common sense for a woman in my position, that I MUST not be 18 years old.

Ultrasound Technology, ISN'T a long course. Your tech may be young, but she is trained - regardless of her baby face.
