Not a problem
And let him know he needs to get a Google Medical Degree. They can't put anything on the internet that isn't true

I was saying when I first got pregnant I asked my doctor the pros & cons about induction if it was needed. He said it was ok then. He hasn't changed his opinion on it either since I've had problems. That's all I was saying. I wasn't trying to defend myself with his stupidity. I didn't know that induction was really that bad, bc he wasn't letting me know that stuff. I would even tell him that the internet said this, & he would be like you don't need to listen to the internet.

As long as you're citing reputable sources off the internet, don't be afraid to challenge him. Print smurf out or bookmark it on your smart phone (if you have one) and bring it up at your next appointment. Show him what you read. Let him see that you are getting information from credible sources. Don't let him bully you into smurf. He sounds like a real jackass who's more worried about his schedule than anything else.

Oh, I know he isn't worried about any of his patients. That's why I refuse to use him again, & I will not refer anyone to him. I'm trying to be patient as possible, but its extremely hard. Especially when you have someone who could care less about you, or the welfare of your child. When I started having problems it took me a couple weeks to even get him to realize something was wrong. He would just guess around the situation & rush me out.

Quoting Dr. Angelface:" wow that really stinks that you had to go through that. i had my daughter 9 days early for the same ... [snip!] ... i really think they screwed up my due date and she wasn't actually early....because none of it made sense... but anyway.. "

It sucked, but I have a beautiful 14 month old who's healthy and happy. But back then, it was tough. Then just a week after she was born, DH deployed. But sometimes, you gotta just suck it up and go with it.
They were messing up my due date too. Sometimes drs are confusing. >.< It's good to hear though that your daughter turned out fine.

That is really scary. Just remember to do your OWN research on things and don't let him bully you into anything. HE works for YOU, not the other way around.

You are so right. I have had a stillborn at 20 weeks and a baby in the NICU at 23 1/2 weeks who we also lost. Just be happy you are still pregnant with a healthy baby. I understand your discomfort but baby will always come first.

Sweetie If you really are high risk they should not let you go above 39 weeks and why would they induce you if they think you will go into labor early why would they just not let you go into labor. O.ober confused.

An after your next appointment go to the desk see which doctors are available ask to transfer if your at a hospital they should not run short of those. I had a primary but just asked to see different docs because mine made me uncomfortable you are paying the hospital not the person. I was lucky enough that the last few weeks I was seen twice a week for monitoring etc. I got to dodge my doc went into labor hours before my scheduled induction so my doctor wasn't there. I don't know why it would be a problem to switch just ask your hospital.

With baby #1 I was induced at 38 wks. I had high blood pressure the last month I was pregnant and it would get so high that I would black out. It was causing too much stress on my daughter, so the best thing they could've done was induced. It wasn't a horrible experiencr at all. She was perfectly healthy, breathing on her own, and normal weight. We went home 2 days later (she was born late in the eveni ng so they required us to stay an extra night.)

Pregnancy #2: I was diagnosed with gestational diabetes at just under 28 wks, amd this pregnancy has been far from ok. They said at 27 wks he was 3.5 lbs and that he could be up to 10lbs depending on my diet and such. So far its been horrible. I cant stand longer than an hr at a time without feeling tons of pressure and like hes just gonna fall out. My entire body aches and I haven't done much cleaning arounf the house to prevent contractions from getting too serious (I've had them 7 min apart for almost 2 hrs..) But I trust my doctor. I am considered high risk again, and I believe that if my dr brings up being induced is whats best for my baby.. I would do it in a heartbeat. It saved my daughter from stressing. I am being threatened with a c section, but I also think that if that is what is required to make my baby healthy and safe.. go for it! Its not about me. I've had 6 ultrasounds this pregnancy because they are keeping an eye on my baby. The best sound right now is hearing his heartbeat!

Anyway, if you don't 'trust' your dr.. I don't understand at all how u could possibly thikk he is capable of making safe and good decisions dealing with your baby. I wouldve changed drs. My dr is honest with my husbanf and I and I believe the decisions she makes has nothing to do with my comfort but has everything to do with what is best for my baby. I have a bad back so I understand how it feels, however, I will stay pregnsnt as long as my dr believes my baby is ok.
