If you share custody of your baby

If you are not with your baby's dad, at what age did you start letting the baby's dad take the baby overnight? What was your custody arrangement prior to the baby's first birthday?

My kids dad and i didn't split until out kids where 2 and 3, but he gets them every other weekend and then one or two days a week when they get out of school.

Yeah that seems pretty standard but it seems a little more tricky with an infant so I was curious what other people had done.

My ex has never had interest in seeing the kids, much less overnight visits. However, from what I have seen, whether the baby is bottle or breastfed plays a huge part in legally determining custody - they can't FORCE you to be away from a breast fed baby that long.

Yeah that is the issue we are having right now and that is what my parents told me but I hadn't discussed it with my lawyer yet.
