Breaking out during an anxiety attack

posted 18th Feb
My anxiety has been kinda bad lately and I have noticed my back and chest breakout when I have an attack. Does this happen to anyone else?

It really sucks because the last time it happened on campus and it was really embarrassing

It happened to me once. I didn't have an actual rash, but I itched like crazy, mostly on my back.

I don't have to even be having an anxiety attack. I just have to be a little nervous and I break out into hives. They don't itch, they just announce to the world that I'm stressed/scared/too hot/whatever. It sucks. I was in competitive acting in high school, and no matter how confident I appeared (which I was really good at portraying), if I was the slightest bit nervous, the whole room knew it! I once had a judge stop in the middle of my performance and ask if I was going to be okay. So embarrassing!

Omg! I get really red when upset but it's worse when it's a full blown attack. I had years without experiencing this in public....

It's happened my whole life, so I've just learned to live with it and roll my eyes and say "Yeah it happens" when someone points it out. Lol. As a kid, it got me out of trouble if my mom was yelling at me for something. She'd see how upset I was getting and then stop yelling at me... so I guess it had some perks. Haha.
