Why?

Why must older woman be so mean to teenagers? Especially the ones that think that they may be pregnant? I'm not talking to all but there are some that are just down right rude! If there coming to this site and telling you their lives it usually means they are scared of what might be happening and want advice.. Why patronize them? What if that were your daughter confiding in you.. would you tell her the things that you're telling the OP? Obviously they need to take a test, but sometimes it's to early or they can't get it right away. They just want to talk about what's going on and have some sort of comfort in the situation. The people I see being rude to teenagers are 25 and 30 act you're age! You're their elder, they look to you to help them not break them down until they're crushed! Then there's the teenagers that are already pregnant or are already mothers and want advice. We're already pregnant or already have had kids please just help us through it. Don't be rude it's not fun and it doesn't make you any better than anybody else. We're mothers to and mothers need help every now and again. I'm pretty sure you didn't have your kid and automatically be an expert at everything. I'm not going to mention any names, but you know who you are and it would be amazing if you just took a moment, stop what you're writing, and think to your self would I say this to my daughter if she was in this situation and if not don't write it.. simple as that. To the people that are getting told these rude things, don't listen to them it's not worth feeling bad and stressing over someone that isn't going to help you, just break you down. I was just getting tired of seeing rude comments on some posts. I know this probably won't help, but maybe it'll show some people it's not right. Thank you for your time

Most people aren't even asking for it though, they're just asking for advice.

But the thing is, a lot of women here have been through it and they probably wish someone had been brutally honest with them. Sometimes people don't need things sugar coated, they need them in all of their stressed, hard assed, smurf covered glory.

I stopped reading because I've read so many of these before but surprisingly, you write really well for a 16 year old.

Anyway, stop bringing up your age, stop centering yourself out. Nobody will know how old you are unless you tell them. If you think that you are just as good of a mother as someone in their 30's just be it, don't tell everyone about it or use your age as a crutch.

links? Because I dont see that. I see people young and old getting snooty and then people giving it to them straight.

You may get smurf for this but...

What you said is true. It irks me when older women are rude to pregnant teens.
Well said.

Agreed, you don't need to mention your age.
But if I see a younger pregnant woman on here I do try to be tactful and cautious in my responses.

Lmao 25 and 30 year olds are "elders"

Maybe some teenagers think they already know everything, when they clearly have no idea what they are doing.

I don't disagree, I mean the OP is clearly well spoken and assuming she wasn't being obnoxious I wouldn't be rude either. But it does annoy me when people say that age doesn't matter and in the same breath say "I'm doing pretty well considering I'm 17" if it doesn't matter don't use it as a disability.
