Depo shot...

I am on the pill, looking to switching to the depo shot, but I don't want to gain any weight... Is it true that you do gain weight? I know every girl's body is different, but I still have doubts.

The average weight gain is 12 pounds in 3 years. Basically a pound every 3 months. It messes with your hormones and a lot of women eat differently without even realizing it.

I didn't gain any weight... but I bled, and bled, and bled, and bled, and bled.....

  not to mention the freakin non-stop bleeding. I'll NEVER go on the shot or suggest the shot to anyone.

The Depo shot is the devil and I would not recommend it to anyone. True, everyone's body is different but I still would not wish that thing on my worst enemy. I only had one shot back in June 2012 and spent the whole 3 months having HORRIBLE side effects including gaining 15lbs. Its still effecting me and its been 8 months since I took the damn thing.

Yeah, I bled non stop for a few months. I was supposed to get another shot in November but decided not to and Aunt Flo is off partying somewhere else. I wish my body was back to normal.

i gained weight but then again it wasnt 100 pct the shots fault..its not like i was trying not to

and im the one of the few women youll speak to that didnt nonstop bleed. i had normal light periods for the first 3 months, and then they completely disappeared

That's what I was like about 9 years ago. I didn't have anything for 2 years, but this time was horrible.

So I'm having second thoughts about this now :/
I just forget to take my pills daily and the same time each night...
At least with the shot I won't forget....

Also, I only get my period for 4 days the most as it is now..

Don't get it unless you never plan on having kids again. It can mess with your ability to concieve. It took me 3 years to be able to carry a healthy pregnancy after getting off depo. The longer you are on it the longer it will take to get pregnant again.

I was on it for a few years straight and I swear if someone even looked at me, I was impregnated.

I don't plan on making Mason a brother/sister any time soon. I am very forgetful when it comes to my own medicine.

youre never going to know how itll affect you til you actually get on the shot. so its up to you if you want to change you being the one that gets the smurf end of the stick on it, or it may work well with you and your body. hard to tell

Went from 111-135 (had never been over 115) in six months. I was omit for two years.
The weight gain was nothing compared to the raging bitch that it turned me into. Never again.
