My BIL has always had feelings for me and when I was 18 yes he did try to act on it because him and my sister were going through a tough time in their marriage, but he started hitting on me saying that he wished he had met me first when I spent the night after my sister went to bed and I went straight to bed after he made those comments because it made me uncomfortable, he then asked for pics. I've never spent the night over there again and you will never catch us in the same room alone ever again, I hardly ever talk to him or look at him anymore because of it. Its been 3 years since then and still to this day my sister doesn't know about it. If I had feelings for another guy then ya of course I would tell my husband, he knows I wouldn't act on those feelings and I know he wouldn't either with another girl.

I don't really think there is much comparison in who deals with the car oil/a rat and a child. A child is not "a thing" that one parent does, a car or are rat are not going to care much for who deals with them but a child probably will. Particularly if you refer to the child as and believe the child is "a thing that Mommy does" whilst "Daddy deals with other things".

i agree...i don't see why they shouldn't help or want to help. I was a was a sahm for a couple of months and got up every single night with her...cleaned, cared for her...i never asked him to get up in the middle of the night with her but i was so exhausted i resented him because he didn't help...i needed sleep too! now I work full time and STILL get up in the middle of the night with her.
