How do you make your potato soup?

I call my recipe "Tater Soup a la Jackbaby"
5 lbs potatoes, peeled and cubed
1 lb broccoli
1 lb extra sharp cheddar
2 cans (4 cups) broth
4.5 cups milk
4 tablespoons butter
Dump the everything but the cheese into the pot (we also added seasoned salt and garlic). Turn it on high til it boils. Turn it down to medium for about 15 minutes. Then squoosh it all up with a potato masher, food processor, hand mixer, whatever you got! Finally, stir in the cheese til it melts.
BOOM!!
So damned good

I use potatos & yellow squash if I have it. Onion. Butter. Condensed milk. Cream of mushroom soup. Bacon. Broccoli. Cheese (velveeta and regular cheddar) veggies (mixed or whatever I have on hand). I think that's all besides salt & pepper and shredded cheese on top. I also just eyeball everything
I dice the potatoes , squash and onion and boil until soft. Then I add the mushroom soup, milk, butter. Stir together. Then I add the veggies and cheese & bacon. Stir untiil melted. If it needs thickened add a little flour water. Enjoy. I keep my potatoes chunky for mine

I do a mexican version, caldo de queso. Potatos boiled til they are falling apart. Drain, add a couple cans of condensed milk, a couple cans of diced green peppers, salt to taste and tons of monterey jack cheese Oh yum!
I think I might make this for dinner tonight.
