It seriously works wonders. I still need to get some gel and dedicate a t-shirt to my hair, but I've quit using shampoo, started washing my hair in lukewarm water and using conditioner in lieu of shampoo and my hair has never looked or felt better. My hair straightener is feeling so neglected right now, haha. I can't wait to get a hair dryer with a diffuser

this is interesting. Years ago I actually used to use a sulfate free shampoo that used to be sold only at Walgreens called Pave' but I don't think they sell it anymore and I used to wear it curly back in the early 2000's and would do the gel while wet thing. I also used to use this wax spray that they no longer sell either. My biggest issue was that parts of my hair are not curly and also that it always seemed like a tangled mess at the end of the day haha.

I'm going to try this for a couple weeks and see how it goes. I'm seriously tired of doing my hair, I want "wash n' go" hair! haha

I have a diffuser and I have no idea how to use it

I usually use a round barreled blow dryer if I want big hair that is straght but curled under or outwards at the ends. Or if I want it stick straight and flat I use the flat iron. both take forever.

Everyone is different, but here is what I do. I "wash" my hair with cheap Suave Naturals conditioner. I really work my fingers into my scalp to get it clean. It has just enough sulfates in it to get it clean, but the conditioner remoisturizes it immediately. Then, I apply Humectress conditioner and let it sit in my hair while I finish washing, shaving...whatever. Then, I use a wide toothed comb to detangle my hair and then I rinse. I scrumch my hair using a long sleeved t-shirt (do not uase a towel, Terrycloth breaks hair and makes it look frizzy!) Then i apply either Loreal melting gel or the Suave mousse for curly hair. I diffuse it like 1/2 way dry and then let it dry more while I do my makeup and get dressed. After my hair completely dries, I scrunch a bunch more times and it breaks up the casting that tends to coat your hair when you use such products. I get rid of the "wet look" that way.

For the last year, I have needed ONE trim because my hair is in SUPER good condition. Even my hairdresser says the same thing.

You have to kinda play with what works for your particular hair type, but I can just imagine how completely awesome your hair will look if you were to start doing this. You have REALLY great hair. You should try and make the most of it.

I'd love to see pics if you decide to use this method!

Lmao me to but everyone has always said it will get worse to brush it wet it doesent for me I hate it and also have to thin my hair myself or I would be broke just for how frequently I would have to go in

Oh! I forgot! I use a DETANGLER spray in my hair BEFORE I apply the gel or mousse. I had the same problem with the tangles, because my hair is really fine and tangles easily. The detangler does the trick for me.
