I would lodge a formal complaint with them. if its ignored lodge it with the ombudsman

She put did 3D mode for like 5 seconds, but said the head was buried in the placenta. I don't know why that would matter to get a picture of the genitals though? Haha

I waited until my anatomy scan. And did the elective at 32-33 weeks. And went to a friend I knew had gone to school for it. But this is true. She said the same thing when explaining why her office was where it was (It wasn't a medical building she's sponsored through a company as an independent contractor). She said the actual places/companies are full of untrained 'techs' who work the machine but don't have a full knowledge of what to look for or look at. They take pictures is basically the training they got.   Sorry it seems like you got ripped off. I always got crappy pics though even with my OB's tech Baby girl is stubborn. Lol. I had to take still frames from the video to get a few good shots like the ones on my profile. It sucks but wait until anatomy scan then you can be sure, like before you buy anything etc., I definitely wouldn't trust that place.

Where did you go for yours?

If I was going to pay for an elective ultrasound I'd pay for a 3d ultrasound not an early gender ultrasound. Just sayin.

I would write a complaint & ask for another session with a better photo... i found out at 18 weeks with my first, it was accurate.. & found out at 14w5d with my second and it was most def. accurate... 14w6d with my third& i've had two ultrasounds since then that have confirmed it's a third boy.. If it's good equipment then it's pretty accurate... as others have said, we can't see your photos.. so no idea.

i found out at 18 weeks was hoping for a boy but im having a girl either way i was happy a baby is a baby no matter the gender 14 weeks is early i know it sucks not knowing cause you want to buy baby stuff lol i hated waiting to find out the gender hope you get to find out for sure at your next scan good luck

I am so sorry that happened to you! I am confused by your pictures also because those pics could be of a girl or a boy. I am the owner and tech of an elective ultrasound facility and yes, you can see gender at 14 weeks (actually its 12 weeks technically  but you have to check multiple angles. Those 2 pics are of gender parts but I don't know what angle they were taken from... I don't let anyone leave without totally understanding why boy or why girl and they can explain the picture to others. Also, girls have fluid in between their parts which shows up as black on 2d ultrasound. I see some "black" but the pictures are of such poor quality that I can't tell if it's fluid (true black) or dark gray (skin over testicles which show as bright white). I would call them - talk to the owner - and ask them to bring you back in to double check for free. Be honest with them and they should care about your business, and your referrals enough to bring you back in.
