This week in cakes lol

I made 3 cakes this past week, looking for constructive criticism, input and what you would pay/ charge for each.


baby shower cake buttercream w/ fondant details and handmade fondant lion topper feeds 25-30




Ombre ruffle cake feeds 15-20



Adventure time cake ( this one was not for sale, it was for a friends daughter, my 14yr old acutally made the Finn lol)

50$ first, 35$ second.

I paid 80$ for a cake that fed over 50 people, 2 tier. There's a pic in my baby shower thread  

45-50 for the first. The other two are kinda messy. I like the ombré colors though.

That ruffle cake is to die for cute!

Ruffle cake was done on a whim. I was really sick and for some reason got the urge to make cake LOL!

friggin ombre ruffle cake!! I just posted on my fbook about how I need an excuse to make one. I want to try it with fondant though. maggie austen style (but half as nice lol)

Haha I'd been wanting to make one for awhile now. I did a fondant ruffle skirt cake awhile back for a 80's themed party, it was challenging but mostly because I hadn't been putting corn syrup in my mmf and it was too stretchy. Now I have a new recipe that gave me a much better consistency and I think it would work much better.




I just googled maggie Austen ombre ruffle cake and omg gorgeous!

$50 for the first cake,that one is awesome,the second cake is cute & I would charge $35 for that Ruffle cake which i love the idea of that,the 3RD cake I have no clue...How long have you been baking cakes for ?.

About a year but prior to the past 3 or 4 months I was only making a cake every few months.
