I think I'm back

posted 18th Feb
I finally gave in and went to see another fertility specialist. (We were putting it off because it felt like there was no hope and no reason to waste the money.) This Dr is GREAT so far!! He actually sat with me and talked, gave me some options. I'm having a D&C on Thursday to stop my bleeding (I've bled constantly for pretty much the last few years.) and then a hysteroscopy after to make sure everything is all cleared out. Once I heal we are starting the hormone shots and trigger shot to make me ovulate (which I have never done on my own). The Dr thinks our chances are high to get pregnant this way. Even when I was on clomid, and other treatments and meds, and had such high high hopes I didn't feel like I do now. I'm calmer and just feel better about it. I don't want to get my hopes up too much, part of me knows I will get another BFN, but part of me is starting to think maybe this Dr can really help.

Any personal experiences with the shots? I know how they work but I don't know anyone who has used them and can tell me anything about what to expect.

The injections are not bad at all. Which hormone injections are you doing? The trigger shot is intramuscular so you'll probably want your hubby to do it but it doesn't hurt at all in my experience.

It's between two different ones, depending on my insurance. I have the paper somewhere, but I have to call them tomorrow to find out which ones and when I get them.

They're most likely sub-q injections which are easy peasy.

He said they would be easier than the lovenox injections I used to have. I bruised every time I did them.
