Exactly. When she's ready to come out, it probably won't be something she is struggling with telling her at all.

You know you have got to be a successful mother when your daughter feels comfortable opening up to you about that. She is very lucky to have you.

She's at a really experimenty age though. I think if you're going to test the waters, that's about the point in your life when it happens. I've known TONS of people who experimented with the same sex, some stuck with it, some didn't, but that's pretty much the exact point in life when they're old enough to start feeling mature enough to handle different ideas about sex, and young enough to start being fearless about it.

Either way, good for her for feeling free enough to go in any direction she wants.

I really hope if I have a daughter, she'd be comfortable enough to talk to me like yours does with you. Kudos!!

My daughter told me & SO that she was Bi, it wasn't a big deal since we kinda figured she was already. I never understood how a parent could turn their backs on their kids for being gay

Thanks guys! Yeah, I know she's at the age where she is still trying to figure herself out, but it's cool either way. She definitely opens up and talks to me about things, even if I have to pry certain things out of her, she's honest.

Me neither. All I want for my girls is happiness, no matter how they find it or who they find it with.

If she is gay, then at least you won't have to worry about teen pregnancy.

Awesome! A lot of people have told me they think my kids are both gay, even though they're super young. Either way, I don't care. Being gay myself, it'd be rather hypocritical of me to be upset with them! ;) Haha. I'll never understand parents who flip out about their children being gay.

I think it's great that you are supportive and she is comfortable enough to share with you what's going on in her life but I wouldn't think she is probably gay or even will think of herself as bisexual in 5 years time because of what she is doing right now. She is at a really sexually experimental stage in her life, around her age I had fully sexual relationships with 2 girls both lasting about 9-12months and truly believed I probably preferred females over males...... Then I met DH at 17 and 9 years later I'm still with him and we have DS   So yes she may be gay, she may be bisexual or she may walk in with the man who is going to be her future Husband next week lol At least no matter what she knows she can come to you with anything and you won't think or feel any differently of her
