37 weeks and SHARP pain?
posted 18th Feb
I know that everyone is uncomfortable when they get to this point, so I'm not going to sit here and complain about being pregnant. lol Overall I feel pretty good, however my contractions (pretty sure they are still braxton hicks) are becoming more frequent especially if I'm moving around a lot. Baby has finally dropped so I can breathe a little better. I haven't been checked yet for dilation but I'm pretty sure he will do it this week at my appt. The only thing that has me a little on edge at this point is today ( haven't experienced this before ) I am having sharp, short little pains right above my pubic bone when I'm sitting down. I know baby is right there because he head down but I just I just wanted to see if anyone else has experienced this. It's not in my crotch, it's my lower stomach right above my pubic bone. TIA for any response.

I completely understand how you feel. I'm 36 weeks and two days according to the new due day (37 weeks if I go by my period) over the last few days I been the same symptoms but since last night they have gotten more pronounce to the point that sitting down the pressure its not easing up. I also been feeling nauseous and a feeling as if I was getting sick. I do get sharp pain every now and then and forget about me trying to walk even when it is just around the house. I can't even put pans on or try to lift my legs because of the pain. Sorry to go on but I just wish if something was going to happen it would happen already. I hope you feel better.

I am not alone!! lol, I can totally relate, and it's so nice to know that all this is happening to another March mommy. I slept HORRIBLE last night too. I don't think they were contractions that were waking me up but every time I went to roll over my stomach was rock hard and seriously hurt to move. Putting on socks and pants is a joke. lol I can move around pretty good for about 20 minutes, but after that I seriously feel like this baby is going to fall out and my back starts to kill. Tried to go to Walmart last night and that was a joke too. I hope you feel better, too. Not much longer at this point. Also, I have been nauseous too and actually got sick yesterday. My OB gave me Zofran for it. It helps a ton with that.

In my case I do live alone. As to were dad is another story for another time. I have come to the point were I'm seriously considering going to L&D but they probably give me a hard time because I have no one to leave my14 month old with. I understand what you mean when you say it hurts turning around. Last night i could not sleep because of it so I just sat on the couch and if any, very little sleep I got was in a sitting position which as is not very comfortable but better than laying down. I'm nit feeling well. ...

I've thought about going, too. But I know they will just turn me around and have me leave. Good luck. Hope you can at least get some sleep soon.

I totally know this feeling. I will be 37 weeks this Wednesday and have pretty much the same problem. When I lay down to go to sleep a wake up and try to turn to the opposite direction or get more comfortable and I get a sharp pain in my stomach. I did that today laying down. I also do get waves of nausea once in a while too but usually a hot bath helps that.

Have you had any "real" contractions yet? Other than the sharpness how are you feeling at this point?

I know this may sound stupid but I may be having an anxiety attack and the reason for this is because I'm scare for my baby. I don't want anything too happen to him. I seriously be so happy when all this is over and I don't have to estress about It any more.

Just sit back and put your feet up and breathe. Everything that's going on with us is normal, just extra stressful for you right now. Just try and stay calm. Hugs**

I am with the rest of you ladies. I am 37 weeks also. Been so hard trying to sleep when you can not get very comfortable due to the same problems, belly hardening. I am glad that I go to the doc tomorrow just to see what he says. Just think ladies we only have anywhere between just a few days to 3 weeks before our little ones get here. Can not wait to meet my DD, everything is ready for here to get here. I will be having her in 2 weeks if not before via c-section.

The time is right around the corner!! This is baby number one for us, so I am anxious, excited, stressed, prepared...all of the above! I'm just trying to stay in tune to my body at this point but I think that is making the stress worse. I'm sure when it is time to go I will know without a doubt. Good luck Mamas!!!

I thought a couple days ago I was having contractions but when I went into l&d they just sent me home because I guess they weren't contractions, they didn't even check me to see if I was dialated at all.
