Ugghhh. I HATE being a woman sometimes.

Actually about half of the month.

For an entire week mid cycle I get debilitating cramps, then again for a week to 10 days with my period and INSANE bloating. Like 6 month pregnant belly bloating. I thought I was going to pop a suit jacket button at work today and poke someones eye out

Don't forget the back pain and the leg pain too cause by it.

It wasn't always this bad. But this is bad. It rules my life it seems half of the time.

I get slight cramps the day before AF then the first day I can't even move out of the fetal position.

are you on bc? That's the only thing that helped me. I started ortho tricyclen and I didn't have cramps anymore.

I'm not because I always have nasty side effects on BC, like weight gain and nausea in the evenings. I'd be happy to get the whole system removed. Lol.

I had a tumor and an ovary removed, and I even cramp on that side where there aren't girly body part left.

That's terrible!
Having a uterus really has it's downsides sometimes.

what about endometriosis? (sp?)
I know that can cause a lot of issues, and with having surgery I would imagine that would leave some scar tissue that may cause it? I'm no gyno of course, but have you been tested for it?

I think it may be scar tissue.

My story Age 12: I started my period when I was 12, I will never ever forget the pain of my first period. I thought I was dying... then in the morning I started. Each month I was in so much pain I would miss school for the first day. My Dad would go buy me Wine coolers because wine helps cramps.

Age 14: My flow was so bad it was 8 days and VERY heavy. I started getting migraines with the cramps. I remember one month I put a tampon in. Then went to class and my flow was so heavy it was going to fall out before the 55 mmin class was over. I raised my hand to use the bathroom and the teacher would not let me. I had to run out even thought she said no, I got in trouble.

Age 15: My Dad took me to a Dr they gave me naproxen.

Age 16: I was in "health' class in so much pain from cramps the male teacher asked me if I was OK. I said no and could hardly get to my car and drove myself to the hospital. I was diagnosed with Endometriosis . I got on birth control for the pain and after a few months it helped a lot. That made my periods pretty much much lighter. So the pain mostly stopped. But some months would still be bad so Dad would have to get me the wine.

Age 19: I had a lot of pain and kept going to Dr after Dr who could not help. They scheduled an ultrasound. They could not get me in for a long time. I think it was 3 weeks. While waiting for that ultrasound I was in so much pain I asked my roommate to take me to the hospital. I passes out in my hall from the pain. Woke up and my Dad was there. I think he carried me to the bed room and got me some wine coolers. I had the ultrasound in the morning. They said I had a huge cyst and it had ruptured and I could have died. They said I was lucky to have that ovary still.

Early 20's: AF stopped from the birth control pill so no more pain 11 out of 12 months

Late 20's stopped taking the pill and my flow was way better. It was much lighter, shorter and just a few advil would get me by.

Age 31: conceived and had a c-section. Now I am back in pain each month. I am so depressed that after 15 years of this and getting over it that one c-section has made all the pain come back

That is my little story
