stuffed bell peppers

How do you make yours? I was thinking about cooking up some chicken and cubing it and putting in some rice and red onions and some cheese but not quite sure.

I'm pretty sure my dad always used ground beef. Not sure how chicken would taste

I don't know either but I tend to experiment with a lot of things. I figure if turkey would taste good in there why not chicken.

I use ground turkey,rice,cheese,onions,and mini shrimp.my little brother found this recipe online and we made it like that since.

That sounds good! I'd add some sliced black olives and enchilada sauce to it as well!

We usually use shredded or diced chicken. We would make "southwestern" style stuffed peppers, though. Basically, we'd stuff the pepper with rice, pepper jack cheese, salsa, diced jalapenos, cooked chicken, and onions and put it in the crockpot.

Oh yes. I did forget to mention I will be adding jalepenos to DH and mine. I don't think LO would like those very much.

I fry up my hamburger and mix it with Rice-a -roni beef rice mix.. I always cut my peppers in long pieces and add the rice and meat mixture on top. Only way the kiddos will eat it.

Hahahaha, that makes sense! You never know, though. My 21 month old LOVES spicy food. Seriously, the kid would drink Red Devil hot sauce if we let her. lol.

Am I supposed to cook the rice before I put it in there or does the rice cook while they are in the pepper. I have never done this before so thank you ladies for all y'alls input!
