took almost 2 months to go away and she used a neutralizer day 5 is the worst they say.

Carson had it the beginning of 2011, I did steam treatments in the bathroom to help him breath and got a vaporizer. If the vaporizer didnt work I used a cool mist humidifier. I also cracked the windows in the house so he could get some fresh air. If you think Leia needs to be seen by a doctor go to urgent care, her pedi wont help too much more. Carson had it for over a month.

I'm just telling you what I did for Carson. Yes he was almost a year old but it lasted for over a month and I felt like I couldnt do anything for him. I hope Leia doesnt have to go to childrens. Is she having problems breathing?

if shes breathing ok then I dont think she will go to childrens. it will just have to run its course. just keep her warm, keep sucking her nose out i guess (they have a battery operated sucky thing at walmart) and keep an eye on her temp. thats about all you can do. again i hope she feels better soon. would it be easier on you if I keep the boys home on wednesday? i dont want them getting sick and i dont want you to have to deal with them and her being sick.

My 2 month old just got home on vday from a 3 day stay in the hospital. We took him to the dr the day we noticed a cough. They said it was just an upper respitory infection. Then the next day we took him to urgent care because he was worse. they tested him for RSV and it was positive and they said it caused Bronchiolitis. So they sent us home with a machine to do albuterol breathing treatments. The next day he was even worse, wouldnt eat, and barely peeing. So we took him to the ER that night. He was retracting pretty bad and his lungs sounded tight and rattley. They transferred him to the childrens hospital where he had to be put on high flow oxygen because his O2 levels were in the 70's (they should be in the 90's), and IV fluids...plus a deep suction every 4 hours. He was taking 65 breaths per minute when it should be about 30. It was so sad watching him work so hard to breath. he was miserable. He still has a cough but feels much better!
