How do you get your LO to eat

posted 18th Feb
How do you get your LO to eat their veggies. Like some veggies my child will eat the smurf out of but others he won't. Like during lunch I do a sandwich and the little booger will pick apart the sandwich and take all the veggies off but eat the rest. I am thinking that I should do like a sandwich roll. Like put half of his sandwich on one piece of bread and roll it up and make sure it is squeezed nice and tight like a sushi roll. Maybe that would work?

Honestly I made veggies every night for dinner as a side dish, my son will NEVER eat them. EVER. No matter what I do, he will pick every single one out. BUT he will eat veggies for days at daycare. I asked her how she gets him to eat them and she says, all the other kids are doing it so he will.
My daughters eats them, but he wont eat them at home. Im no help! lol

My DD will just pick all the veggies out! I've tried putting them in things she likes but she still sees them an picks them out. I just leave it alone now. I didn't really like veggies until I was older so I'm sure she will grow into liking them.

DD will only eat raw veggies that are crunchy. But she loves these things.

It could work, but then again the moment he starts chewing he may spit it out. My problem with veggies is the texture. You may just have to sneak veggies to him through V8 and smoothies. Or just feed him the ones he likes. I've heard of pureeing veggies and sticking them in with food as well.

I don't.
She either eats them or she doesn't. I don't make her extra meals either if she doesn't want it. I'm not an oncall chef so she takes it or leaves it. Most times she leaves it lol. I used to stress about it but in don't anymore.

That is an awesome idea. I am trying to change our diets to a majority of it being veggies and fruits and all of that but it is hard when you have a child that is being a pain about it.

O I head you. My daughter would eat pizza all the time if allowed. She loves V8 though. If I'm gonna give her juice, I'm going to give her V8.

The thing is during dinner he eats his veggies with no problem (most of the time) but he doesn't want to eat it if it has been cooked any other way besides boiled. I try to shred some lettuce but he won't eat that and he will sometimes eat tomatoes but not often he loves peas and some corn. But his favorite thing is his fruit and especially his bananas.

I used to make smoothies. Well, I still do, but I don't have as much trouble with veggies with DD.

But I used to sneak in tons and tons of veggies in smoothies as well as speghetti sauce/lasagna..
