my previous ultrasound

Last week I went for an ultrasound (30 weeks) and the doctor told me that my fiance and I's baby could be possibly 10 lbs or larger if i carry to my due date..heres my question..my fiance was a big baby 9 lbs 15 3/4 oz. and I was 6 lbs 9 oz i was supposed to be a 10 lb baby by birth but my mother had to give birth to me 7 weeks early because she had pneumonia...could he possibly be 10 pounds do you think or could the ultrasound be way off like many people are telling me..another thing he told me was I needed to come back April 8th and he will do another ultrasound and if he is still going to be around 10 lbs he wanted to have me induced or set up a scheduled c section..this will be our first baby and im not exactly sure how to feel about all this...could anyone possibly give some advice?? thanks in advance!
Also I forgot to put that he is measuring 2 weeks bigger.. than what i am..

I would not trust the ultrasound to tell me how much my baby weighs. They could be off 2 lbs either way.

Ultrasounds can be way off in determining weight. I wouldn't let him talk you into a csection or induction unless you want one or it's medically necessary. Women deliver big babies vaginally all the time and they are just fine.

my 5', 95 lb friend delivered a 9lb baby vaginally, no tearing.
I was induced the day before my due date cause they thought he was 9lbs. I wouldn't have done it if I wasn't at my due date and he was only 8lbs 4oz!

i had ultrasounds at every appt, including the morning i went into labor. by 30 weeks, he was measuring about 3 weeks ahead. when he was born at 39+0, he was measuring 45 weeks. the morning i went into labor they estimated his weight at 10lbs even. he came out weighing 9lbs 15.9oz, so 10lbs.
i know they can be off, but thats my experience. also due to how big you and the father were at birth, i would say your baby could be that big as well

i was almost 9 lbs and dd was 7 lbs 1 ounce

If you both were big babies its likely you'll have a big baby too.
But it's nothing to be scared of, people have 10lb babies all the time! I think inducing early because the baby is big is a stupid thing to induce for.

After reading all this it is making me think..but when i got i will be 38 weks and he should be measuring 40 if he continues to measure bigger than what i am..which he has been since early in my pregnancy..i dont really want a c section i want to go natural and my doctor who is folowing me for this pregnancy is a ok with me going natural unless it is medically needy for a c section..im not too happy about the induction part..so i guess ill have to wait and see...thank you everyone!

I have read a lot of ultrasound weights and actual birth weights. Only about 1 in 10 is accurate lol so I wouldnt worry too much about it
