re: Third baby and huge belly at 12 weeks.

My dr said that after subsequent pregnancies your uterus can pop up faster... but even so, 12 weeks the baby is still small..

i'm 17 weeks & have a belly with my third.. but i can hide it in baggy shirts or hoodies.

um obviously it's not a joke photo... ??? I'm 12 weeks pregnant and I don't have a hernia.

It seemed pretty obvious to me that it IS a joke photo - it's pretty obvious that there is something under your shirt other than your stomach. No one looks like that, it's just not physically possible.

I will take a picture of my stomach with no shirt covering it. It's pathetic you'd think that lol but whatever. My daughter is teething so she's sleeping on me. If I can get her down without waking up, I'll take it tonight. If not then I'll post it in the morning.

I don't have time to sit here and think of stupid ways to make "joke photos". I have a 1 and 2 year old and a full time job and a house to take care of. It's a serious question that I asked and a REAL picture of my stomach that I took today. I'll post the bare stomach picture asap. haha wow.

If that is seriously how it looks, you need to see a doc asap, the only thing that could make it shape that weirdly IS a hernia. No pregnancy would cause that.

I've been to my doctor a few times. I had two ultrasounds. The first one they didn't catch a heartbeat so they scheduled another one 2 weeks later because they thought I was further along than I was. Turns out I'm 12 weeks and that's exactly how my stomach looks right now. My second child is almost 17 months old and before I got pregnant this time, I still had a small bump left over that was up kind of high around my belly button. (my first and second are 14 months apart) My doctor, nor the ultrasound tech said anything about a hernia. I go back next week for a checkup and I'll def ask him about it but as far as I know I don't have one.

I've heard if you're heavier set, you could appear to look more weeks pregnant than you really are. So if that's the case, it's normal.

This is my 3rd baby and I showed early with this one. Everyone made comments about it being bloating but it never went away lol. I'm sure some of it was bloat but yes when you are going on your 3rd, 4th, etc. pregnancies you are more likely to show sooner and for it to be more apparent than if it was your 1st, or 2nd. I'm in no way heavy set and I showed very early with thus pregnancy.

eh I'm not that heavy. Started off size 4 & around 130lbs or so.

Maybe see a second doctor. I am heavier set, we take longer to show. I also have a hernia though, so does my mother, that's what it looks like :-\

You're pregnant with a hernia? Do you have to do anything different? And is it an umbilical hernia? My friend had an umbilical hernia and they did surgery on it after her baby was born. I'll ask my doctor about it when I go next. He's a great doctor it's just that last time I saw him, I wasn't this big.
