After about 10 days I was pretty back to normal, in my mind.lol
It hurt, but I kept on my medications and was fine. The worst was waking up but they pumped me full of meds quickly.

The armpit incision is great because their is no evidence on my boobs that they are implants, but the first few days made it rough. Driving and showering was rough, you use your arms more than you even realize.

Most of the time, YES but actually mine looked pretty good afterwards. Just very hard. They settled nicely and very quick as well. I was very small before so the skin stretching was the worst part, imo. My other friend had weird shaped breasts for awhile afterwards. I'm not sure there is anything, one can do about.lol

Implants, or just a lift? Implants, under the muscle
Silicone or saline? Saline, silicone was banned at the time.
Incision or through the bellybutton/arm pit? Periareolar incision
Price? $5800 in 2005
Did you consult with multiple surgeons? Yes
How did you start the process? Picked the Dr I wanted to go with and then set up another appt, picked my size and set up the surgery for about a month later.
How long was the surgery? I'm not sure, I was asleep lmao!

It was about 2wks of recovery, I was bruised from collar bone to belly button and for about a week could not move much because it hurt so bad.
I did have a slight contracture on one side, it feels firmer than the other but it not misshappen or deformed. For several years I had an aching pain on that side, along with a pulling/ tearing feeling, especially if I was doing something that used my chest muscles.

I've nursed my youngest for 22mos and my breasts still look perky and cute

I actually was good in about a wk. The pain wasnt as bad I thought, for me. My friend had it done and she was in lots of pain. I was up cleaning my house a week later, My doc would have killed me if he knew lol

Do you have to go back every so often to get them touched up? And if so, does that cost money to?

It does and eventually, you will. Mine said it would probably be around 15-20 years. Some people will tell you 10 years automatically but my surgeon said if it isn't broken, don't fix it!

Mine said the same. Only reason to get them redone is if I want a revision or have a leak. Haven't needed or wanted either so I'm good
