Prices will be different in different areas.

I had comcast for years and had to switch based on where we live. I so wish comcast served our area.

We pay about $120-130 (i forget exactly) for Uverse. We have the fastest internet package and the second highest tv package with HD service (no movie channel extras or sports anything). When my bill got to high with them (after a contract end) I called them and told them I needed a lower bill or I was going back to comcast they asked what comcast was offering and matched it.

We have our service through Cox. We pay $190-$225 a month.
We have several HD DVR boxes, internet and basic phone line. The reason the amount is in a range is b/c I add showtime to our service in Sept. for Dexter, then remove after the season is over.

We pay $70/month for cable(basic channels) and internet(15g). Comcast. But we will be switching to Direct TV in a few months when our contract is up. Might keep internet with Comcast though, it's an okay deal.

$30 a month for internet. We don't watch a lot of TV, so we just bought a Wii and pay for netflix. There's plenty of shows on there, we don't follow one specific show that we can't just catch on Hulu or Netflix, or go to a friends house and watch. It saves a crazy amount a month.

Wow. That's insane. I don't even pay that for my water and electric combined!

This is exactly what happened to us. We had comcast and loved it, I believe it was about $120-$130 for both cable and internet.

But we just moved out to the middle of no where and comcast doesn't service out here. We had to go with Directv and we pay about $65 a month have pretty much all the channels and got a free DVR for up to 4 TVs. Our internet provider is limited to this area and a few other rural areas, we pay $59.99 a month for unlimited data use. So pretty comparable to the Comcast package we had, except we get a few more channels and the dvr with Directv. I liked Comcast more though because of their OnDemand feature.
