White jelly like substance and back pain

I am 16 weeks and just went to use the bathroom and there was a jelly like substance on the toilet paper and have been having a sore back for the past day. I am wondering if I should call my midwife because she always acts like I am a nuisance when I call but not sure if this is normal or if I should call my doctor.

have you had sex in the last couple days?

Normal pregnancy problems. You'll have an increase of discharge. Back pain is probably your bones relaxing. I actually was taken off work early due to horrible back pain while pregnant
