tax refund direct depost question

hey ladies quick question I received my first check of the two in my bank account now I'm just wondering how much longer typically does it take for me to receive the second one?

I filed Feb 8th
got my first check Feb 14

I really need a new car if it wasn't for that I'd be more relaxed waiting for the $ lol

Are you talking about federal and state? Because it doesn't matter when you file, it's when it's accepted. I got my federal almost a week ago, but my state was just accepted, and I wasn't given a time when it would be available. They work on their own timetable.

why are there 2 checks? unless its state & federal

we havent received either yet. we filed Jan 27, had an education credit so our federal wasnt received til the 14th, i havent heard about state yet. most are saying you get it 9 days after they accept it. that seems to be the average

If it's your federal you are waiting on, irs.gov has a where's my refund page and you plug in your info and it tells you what day it's going to be deposited.
