Quoting InkDMomma:" they never said anything to us about it we had about 20 people in the courthouse when we got married with the license and the court house it was a whopping 30 bucks lol"
What? That is super cheap. Ours is over $93 but you can save like $30 if you do marriage counseling first. To have the ceremony at the court house it cost about $125 dollars and i think that comes with a picture.

Awww how exciting! We've been engaged since before LO was even conceived so I'm like I'm ready, you're ready, lets just do it already! We even considered vegas. I'd love to elope in vegas, I'm the wild n out type lol

HAHA! See...... I'd be totally down with Vegas.
But... not so much fun when you're pregnant and can't even have a drink.
So maybe we'll think about that route if we wait until after the baby--- but I think he'd really like his family there. So I dunno.

We did a big wedding. 170 guests, open bar, dancing, the whole thing. It cost about $15,000. It was nice and I enjoyed myself but my sister's wedding was more romantic in my opinion.y wedding was about he party and making sure people enjoyed themselves. My site eloped. They went away to a hotel in the mountains that happened to hold elopements and did it there. It was really intimate, just the two of them. They had their ceremony in front of the mountains at sunset, it was beautiful. Then the elopement package included a sweetheart's dinner with champagne and stuff and two nights in a really nice suite in the hotel. It also came with a photographer for the ceremony and a few pics after. It was really great!! I think they paid 750$ total for the whole thing.
Why not look into something like that??

Well me and my Fiance are planning our wedding but we are going to go to the courthouse and get married then have the wedding later cause we dont have the money for it and he wants to join the air force or any branch in the military that is. but we are waiting for a lil bit he got this job that he loves and he wants to have it for a year or 2 before he joins the military so when he gets out of boot camp then we will have the wedding.

I could not plan a wedding for under 500...especially if your dress and his suit are 200.00!?!
Id save for a nice wedding. Maybe its me but I would never have a courthouse wedding. I dont find anythibg about them pretty. Plus i have way too many ideas from pinterest. A very small intimate wedding could be done at 1000-1500 i believe.

1st time I got married I wore blue jeans & a tshirt as did he.
His brother & cousin was there. We got our marriage license & went to the JP's house.
2nd marriage: I want a country/redneck wedding.
I want a white dress, I'll have 2bridesmaids who will wear black leggings & royal blue dress shirt. Groom will wear blue jeans with royal blue dress shirt, he will have 2 groomsmen they will wear black slacks & royal blue dress shirt.
There will be 2flower girls, they will either wear a flowy sliver cotton dress with leggings or a royal blue flowy cotton dress with silver leggings.
There will be 2 ring bearers they will wear the same as the groomsmen.

I'm getting married march 2nd and we are doing a traditional wedding... But we aren't going all out or anything. We are paying $250 for the church which we will do the reception at.. Then i found a dress for $75 and we are just renting my fiancee's tux. It doesn't have to cost a bunch, we are having about 100 guest.. and its costing under 1,000

we did the courthouse with maybe 7 people, but we plan to do a small get together for our vow renewal for our 5 year anniversary. I've always dreamt about a BIG wedding, but after I completely thought about it after my husband proposed, I knew it wasn't for us. I think now its a big waste of time and money to go all out

We just realized you can't get married at the court on Saturday lol so we are doing a teeny ceremony and BBQ. I'm happy with that.

I didn't vote because we're not married, yet. We wanted to do the courthouse thing, then an immediate family/ close friends, intimate reception.
Next month, we're doing the whole shebang - ceremony, gown, tuxedos, reception, photographer, catering, open bar, cake, DJ. $12,000+ in the hole so far. Sm*rf me.
WE SHOULD HAVE ELOPED.

We did a court house wedding, and brought them out for drinks after, then later in the evening they met up at my MIL place and she cooked dinner. Was asian food themed since DH and I love chinese food. lol.
