Infant
My son is 2 and while its more "fun" it's also more hard

Infants are so easy. It's when they start walking & talking that it gets hard. My LO is almost 4 & so far this is the hardest stage

i think it depends ...im raising now a 11,9,7 year old boys and a 3 month old girl...there are days she is easyer then days them boys are like angels lol so i think its a draw

The first year is by far the easiest

My four year old is really easy. He's at that stage where he occupies himself, mostly. I think he's easier now than when he was an infant... But maybe it's just because I think he's more fun and has a little personality now?

I second this. She's almost 5 and the most headstrong kid I've ever seen. Newborn-12 months was a freakin breeze

I'm gonna be the oddball and say the 24-36 months. Mainly because I finally began to get some sleep when he was that age. DS woke up every 2 hours til he was over 7 months old, and never slept through the night til he was over 2 years old.

I prefer toddlers. I have an almost 2 year old daughter and a 8 week sold son. omg i can't wait for him to be at least 6 months. lol My daughter can somewhat tell me what she wants/needs, where something hurts. She can play and do a few things for herself. SO cute! My baby boy is just a cute selfish lump of gassy sweetness.

This. My son is hilarious, never a dull moment. My newborn is boring.

My daughter is 3 1/2 and I miss when she was a baby, especially when we go shopping. When she was 6 months old she never asked for everything. Now I have to fight with her every time we go to the grocery store and she wants to get some randomly overpriced stuffed animal or silly straw or cup.
And chase her to get her to change her clothes.
And fight with her to let me brush her hair.
And try to keep her from dragging things out of my cabinets and closet.
Yeah, babies are definitely easier.

see i feel like 1-3 my son was so good, and then once he hit 4 it was finally payback time. the tantrums, talking back and attitude all started since i had it easy up until then

over 3!
my baby had prolonged colic so the infant stage was awful.
During the toddler stage, my LO was NOT independent at all.
After 3 things began to go from OK to great. Now that she is 4 i cant say enough wonderful things about her :-)
She is not independent, but she will occupy herself for short periods of time. And, she can handle correction well instead of upsets and drama of her toddlerhood. Each day i marvel at how far we have come!
