taking birth control while breastfeeding causes period?

I'm 8 weeks PP and exclusively breastfeeding. I started taking birth control 8 days ago and just started getting my period today.

I've read that breadtfeeding can postpone periods. can birth control make them start again?

It did for me! ugh.... ;)

It should start your period at the end of the pack. Some people (like me) have break through bleeding when they first start though and it should clear up on your next pack or 2 of the pill.

wish I had known this. I would have postponed taking it until my periods stArted back on their own. I was looking forward to some more time without them
