What do you think of Pro-Lifers?

I'm specifically wondering about ones who will use statements such as abortion is murder, you're killing an innocent baby, who post tonnes of information about what the fetus does at that stage of pregnancy such as eyes opening, etc or ones who use images and links to supposed abortions? Imagery/words that are intended to be quite strong and are set out to guilt you for being pro-choice. I'm not just referring to BG but everywhere, online, protests, etc?

What do you think about these people and what effect does their words/actions have on you?

I personally feel like a lot of the time they are wasting their breath, I never feel like they are stating anything people don't already know. As far as what the fetus does at each stage I feel like yes I'm aware as I've been through pregnancy, I'm still pro-choice. I just go into "yada, yada, yada!" mode with them and it really has no effect on my opinion/stance.


Also to people who do this do you feel like your particular way of trying to get your point across works or people couldn't really care less?

I am pro-life. I rarely post things about it. I pray for the hearts of omen in those situations and that God will comfort them.

I am Pro-Life but I dont judge. in my opinion if you claim to be relgious and believe its murder than fine but your also told not to judge people. Im not a crazy Prolifer i guess, I have my beliefs but i cna understand why some people may choose to make that decision.

If a pro lifer says your killing an innocent baby I normally reply "if you use condoms, your use the pill.. You have swallowed.. You killed a million sperm which could have made a baby. Sperms a living thing too.."

I think everyone is entitled to their own beliefs and feelings on the matter.
I dont think anyone should push their beliefs on someone or judge someone who terminates a pregnancy. But they're entitled to feel the way they do and it doesn't bother me.

i think the holy rollers are ignorant. they spout facts that arnt true and post pics of almost term babies getting their brains sucked out saying this is a 12 week old baby. what the smurf ever dude.

I don't much attention to them. Abortion is one of those topics that will continue going on and on and will never come to an end where everyone agrees to one thing. I chose not to waste my energy nor time on that.

If I see someone on Facebook put stuff like that or someone talk to me in person like that, I'd just delete them or walk away.

I think the Pro-lifers that do this and try and shove it down everyone's throat make the rest of us look bad and ignorant.
I am pro-life. But I do understand that my views and opinions are due to my personal beliefs and morals. And those I cannot impose on anyone else.

I consider myself prolife (although I'm pretty sure BG would call me Prochoice since I'm uncomfortable making them entirely illegal), but those kinds of people make me incredibly uncomfortable. I think they forget that their words can really hurt. Instead of calling people murderers or being so unkind, we should really be opening up our arms to love on those who have had to make this decision. I sometimes want to ask the Christian ones which side Jesus would actually be on. The side with the picket fences? Or the side of the women who've had these abortions, comforting them.

Mixed response to some things in your post.
I have no issue with links to the development of the baby. Women should be educated about what they are doing.
I DO have links to gruesome pics as I do t think they are effective, just upsetting. I think their actions should be focused on help and support for the terrified and emotional woman.

But, there is no way around the fact that abortion is taking an innocent life. People choosing to end that life should understand magnitude of what they are doing.

I notice that a lot of pro-life people are actually pro choice.

Believe in abortion after invest or rape? You're pro choice.
Believe in abortion if the mothers life is in danger? You're pro choice.

I'm disgusted anyone thinks they have a right or a right to an opnion on what someone else needs to do. I dont believe anyone has that right, I dont care what their reasons are or what their god thinks.
I believe that God (whichever one you follow) does not always get it right, please do read my history of you think I should believe otherwise. whilst I, for obvious reasons find it hard to think about and yes it does make me sad that there are unwanted babies when it is all i have strived for t it's not my place to tell anyone else about it and any woman in the posistion to need one should be suported and given compassion. so in conclusion I massively dislike pro-lifers that shower others with propagander and threats, its not fair and IMO should be illegal.

Why be disgusted? Everyone judges everyone. It's human nature. Do you avoid the ghetto, people looking like they're in gangs, creepy pedophile looking people at the park, etc? If yes, then you judge people.

Illegal? I mean, they have a right to their opinions.

I've been in prolife/prochoice debates where I've provided links to information backing my opinions, but I've never thrown that into a woman who's contemplating abortions face. Ever. I think there's a time and place for things like that (I've never used gruesome photos.)

I think if you are shoving it in peoples faces then yesI do think so, I would never purposely try to make anyone else feel bad for making an already difficult decision. And yes everyone is entitled to an opinion but i dont beleieve everyone has the right to enforce that opinion on others.
