Probiotics

Seriously! These things are amazing! I got some infant/toddler ones from whole foods for my son. He's had so many antibiotics (from recurring strep infections) that his poop was literally burning him because he had no good bacteria left. So we put him on probiotics per my mom's suggestion (she's in nursing school and has 3 years ER experience) and within a couple days his poop isn't burning him anymore. I'm so happy!

I asked his doctor what to do and she just told me to keep using nystatin on it. And when I asked about probiotics she told me they wouldn't do much to help him.

This plus some other previous incidents has caused me to start looking for a new pediatrician.

I always take some when I am on antibiotics. My stomach gets SO upset if I don't!

Probiotics are great. They're also found in yogurt.   I try to have a yogurt a day.

He likes yogurt. But I can't get him to eat it everyday so I got the powder kind and I mix it with his juice or milk in the mornings.

Pretty much. The powder is tasteless so it's great. We got him some probiotic smoothie thing and I tasted it before I gave it to him and it was HORRIBLE. It was like a little runnier than sour cream and tasted like a mix between unflavored yogurt and rotten milk. Lol. It was nasty, I ended up pouring it down the sink.
