What do you think this could've been?

posted 17th Feb
I'm 31 weeks with baby 3.
I've been having braxton hicks for months now.

But last night i was woken up by just excruciatingly painful cramping around 3am.
I have a high tolerance for pain, so when i mean painful- i mean...painful.
To the point where i felt disoriented.

I got up and was in so much pain i almost couldn't walk just to go pee.
The walk to the bathroom made me nauseous/light-headed- just..bad.
(i haven't had nausea or light-headdedness in general lately, no light-headdedness at all this pregnancy)

The cramping continued on for about an hour,
i didn't feel any BH accompanying it- but it was really hard to tell what was happening cos the pain was just like..a throbbing cramping in my stomach/abdomen.

Any idea what it could've been?

I honestly have no idea what it could be, but my friend who is 33 weeks is dealing with the same thing right now. Last I heard she went to get checked out and was sent home saying she was dehydrated. I can't believe your 31 weeks already!!!

hmpff. water's the only thing i drink and i drink it all day, so i'd be surprised if i was dehydrated! tell her i hope the weird cramping subsides for her though

I probably would've considered it if it had gone longer than an hour.

When that happened to me it was kidney stones. Also lasted about an hour.

An hour of excruciating pain when you're that pregnant is enough.

Yes. I went to the hospital and by the time I left the pain was gone and never returned. They say I passed the stone but I never saw it.

That's what she said before she went in. (I do think sometimes dehydration is a doctors way of getting people to shut up, sadly.) She's also on baby #3 and said it didn't feel anything like BH, but like someone was pinching part of her uterus and twisting it.   I will send her your well wishes though.

Random Q- Do you feel like your pregnancies go by faster each time?

Oh, interesting.
I'm not super quick to call in now cos i've already been in once to L&D to be monitored and it was nothing.

I passed back out right after the cramping stopped.

That's good it stopped. It could have been a fluke or maybe stones. I wasn't expecting them to tell me that it was stones. I thought there was something wrong with me/the baby.
