shipping frozen breastmilk?

Has anyone had to ship frozen breastmilk before for a personal donation? Not through a milk bank who pays the shipping and packaging. I'm wondering what the costs are going to be. The recipient is going to be paying shipping costs, but I've been trying to get a rough estimate and I have a feeling it may be astronomical... She lives about two and a half hours away, and I feel as though it would be much more economical to drive instead, between the costs of packaging, dry ice, and over night delivery for 100 ounces.

Anyone ever done this before? If so, how much did you ship and roughly how much did it cost?

It would be WAY cheaper & easier to put it in an ice chest & drive the distance. That isn't very far.

But I am curious... are you selling your breastmilk?

Lol it's milk I've pumped from my first two weeks of production for an immune deficient baby. I have been trying to find info online but it varies greatly, one woman said she paid $170 to over night her own breastmilk to herself when on a business trip, not including dry ice or the cooler. Another donor said she normally can ship for about $25.
