Cramps before labor?

Hey all, so this is my first pregnancy, I'm due Feb. 25th with a little girl named Savannah. Earlier today, (around 12:50) I started feeling pretty intense menstrual cramps...I was getting ready to go to the birthing center and by 2:10 the cramps had just disappeared and I'm back to normal...has this happened to anyone else? Could it be a labor symptom?

It could be braxton hicks.....I knew when I was in labor, it wasnt anything like braxton hicks.

maybe, maybe not. either way... nothing to be concerned about at this point. If you were preterm.. cramps could be concerning.

when you're contracting every 3-5 minutes for at least 2 hours, lasting about a minute each.. that's when you should give L&D a call.

(or, if your water breaks)

it could be, but maybe not. my labor with my first started as little tiny cramps, but they kept getting worse and worse.

I've had the braxton hicks before, and I'm pretty positive these weren't them. My stomach really didn't harden at all to be honest. I really thought that it was the real deal because they were coming about every three minutes, but just like that they stopped.

i'd wait it out and just see if they come back again and if they are, time them. or if your water breaks, obviously go in. my water never broke though. i guess they broke it when i was in labor or something. i don't remember.
