re: 3 year old with 104.4 temp

I don't know if I can even get her to stand up. She literally crawled out of her room to come get me.

I would just take her in now to the ER.

elevated temp increases oxygen consumption. if she looks like she's struggling... definitely a problem.

have you tried motrin and Tylenol rotated to help keep it down?

Yeah she just collapsed on the floor and started crying. That didn't work lol. I guess we're just going to go in. Now I guess we'll just have to wait for SO to get home so that we can all go figure this out

No, I'm out of motrin   I need to go pick some more up.

Oh an my girls breathe harder and faster with a temp, too.

Honestly, thats a call SO home from work and go to the ER situation. If she can't even walk... her temp is that high and she's breathing funny, i'd not wait another minute to get her in.

I'm the type that doesn't do ER unless absolutely necessary, but I would definitely take her. High fever for more than 3 days isn't good, and coupled with a headache I'd be worried about meningitis.

Hope it's nothing that serious though! Feel better LO!
