Falling while pregnant

Hey ladies I am almost 5 weeks pregnant....so not very far along. It has taken my husband and I 16 months to get pregnant. Today I was walking down the stairs and it seems like my feet gave out from underneath me and I feel down about 3 steps. I mostly landed on my ankle, wrist and bum. I am just a little concerned with what happened. Everywhere I am looking it says I should be fine. Most of the answers are for women who are a lot further along. Since I am still so early I was wondering if any of you have had this happen to them?

I have no cramping or bleeding. My ankle and wrist are just sore. My bum if fine too! This happend about 1.5 hours ago.

Your baby should be ok. At 5 weeks, there is way to much room for any damage to happen unless you landed on your stomach each time.

Thanks for responding! My husband thinks all should be ok...he was right infront of me when it happened. He says I landed on my butt, ankle, and wrist. I am just nervous is all.

i think you should be fine. i fell at 32 weeks, just a little slip and fall in my dad's slippery driveway. i fell mostly on my butt/leg, had no bruises, no cramping, no bleeding, baby was still moving normally, so they said i'd be fine.

the nurse said usually if it's a hard enough fall to cause a bruise or if you fall directly on your stomach, they would be concerned. plus, being so early, they probably wouldn't worry anyway. so, i think you'll be okay. obviously, if there are any changes, call them.

I went to the ER for a fall down stairs at 14 weeks 5 days and the ER doctor said anything before 20 weeks would not hurt the baby. Unfortunately, I found out after they gave me an ultrasound for reassurance that my baby was actually dead and had been for a couple of weeks at that point without me knowing   I guess at least it wasn't related to the fall.

I slipped and slammed down on a marble floor at 10 weeks hit my head and hip and everything is still ok

I've fallen off two horses lol..and one at ten weeks-he took off before I could fully mount, so I was laying across his back on my belly as he cantered around. Until my saddle slipped and I bailed. I think a few steps are okay
