My daughter might have ADD...

Does anyone know the procedure for getting testing? Do I tell the teacher first (I've had a few conversations with her about my daughter and she doesn't seem worried) or do I talk to the doctor first?

We never got tested. It was pretty obvious what was going on. Basically you should just talk to her Pedi and let them know your converns

If you have concerns make an appt with your Pedi. Talking to the teacher means nothing.

Talk to dr. 1st... ask to be evaluated...

Its not like a blood test or anything, they just ask a smurf ton of questions, to u and her...

Maybe she didn't like talking to just me lol

We brought it up to DS's pedi. We did a questionnaire and then school did.

I'm new to forums... I wasn't trying to offend anyone. I didn't realize all posts went to the same place. Lol

That's kinda what I thought... She said she didn't think so though, based on 20 years of teaching experience.

Deans teacher told me she would bet her paycheck dean had something worse than adhd...

When she noticed i was pissed she shut her mouth... She basically told me dean had some of the worst behavior she had seen in 30 years of teaching... I asked her what was she implying, then all of a sudden she wasn't a Dr.

Wow, really? The most we can say is, "Your child exhibits behavior that is similar to children who have been diagnosed as AD/HD. I would suggest taking him to the doctor to be assessed." I like how she followed up with the exact reason teachers aren't supposed to "diagnose" though, proving she knew she shouldn't have said what she said in the first place, lol.

She couldn't stand me or dean from the get go... Lol she couldn't wait to snitch his ass out... it was a catholic school, and she wasn't even catholic lol he only lasted 1 month before we pulled him out and they ended up calling cps on us... dean was diagnosed with adhd and odd so it was a huge mess.. lol
