What to wear for court?

posted 17th Feb
Okay, SO has a VERY VERY VERY important trial coming up..
I think I'm so worried about it that I want to be able to do anything, no matter how little or small, to help.
Sooo.. I was wondering... What colors do you think are best for a man to wear to court?
You know how they say red is an angry or bold color? Black is a mysterious or rebellious color? Blah blah blah blah? So, my question is, what to you, presents a non threatening image? What kind of clothes should a man wear in a courtroom setting to present that image?
Do you think khakis and a medium blue (both ironed of course) shirt and tie would be better than black dress pants and a blue shirt?
I know I'm reading too much into this, but I feel very helpless and I feel like this is something that could make somewhat of a positive impact if done correctly?

I would send Dh in some gray slacks and a light blue long sleeve with a matching tie. Then black shoes.

I don't think khakis are "nice" enough for an important court appearance. I would say black dress pants, light blue shirt (it's a soft, non treatening color but still masculine).
But if you want him to look threatening go with red! Lol

That's kind of what I was thinking.
Khaki's seem a little too casual BUT his lawyer said to try to stick with a lighter color pallet. The darker, the more "menacing and villainous you appear."

my husband does a good job dressing himself, i think he looks best in a certain charcoal gray oscar de la renta 3 piece, or this old subtle pin stripped calvin klein his has in the back of the closet but hey that's just me.

dont button the bottom button the the coat

i think choice is tie is fairly important.
