Doctor says my amniotic fluid is more than last ultrasound
posted 17th Feb
I'm 24 weeks pregnant. When I went to the doctor last week they said that my fluid measured to be a little bit more than the last ultrasound that I had. She said everything else was perfectly fine. Has this ever happened to anybody and should I be worried? Someone please get back to me.

Totally normal.. I've always had "more water than normal" with both of my pregnancies.. With my first I was leaking fluids for a week and still had a ton left.

Thank you. I was worried because the doctors want me to go get another ultrasound done to see get the fluid measured again and if it was still higher then they said they wanted me to maybe go to a maternal and fetal specialist. So I was kind of freaking out.

Did you have the Nuchal translucency screening? I would think they would have an idea if anything serious was causing it around then, but your OB probably just wants to be sure

High fluid levels is a sign of gestational diabetes and it's especially common for women on insulin.
